Music Production
Give your listeners the full experience of your music. Make it sound even and clear with a defined sound stage and exciting mix. Things covered: equalization and filters, compression/limiting types and techniques, multiband compression, mid-side fields, side chaining, exciters and other harmonic enhancers, saturation and distortion, dealing with phase issues, effects (reverb, delay, and modulated effects), mixing strategy, and more.
Guitar Tone
From your brain to the speaker, everything matters when you are working on your tone. I will teach the alchemy of tone from the guitar (strings, pickups, guitar set up, etc.) to the amp (tubes, amp configurations, speakers etc.)
Guitar Technique
How many ways are there to play guitar? A lot. Find the guitar technique that is right for you. Learn strengthening exercises, hand coordination, finger approaches, string quieting, dynamics and much more.
Improvisation
Improv is like composing on the spot. Lessons include: ear training, scales, chords and applicable music theory.
Effects theory
I have developed my own approach to effect chaining. Looking at guitar effects as: voice, modulation and environmental space, we divide effects into musical roles. Once we know the right way, then we break the rules and look at outside-the-box approaches.
Synthesizer Theory
Synthesizers can be as complicated or as easy as one can imagine. Here I give a basic understanding of the various kinds of synthesis and how to get the sounds you are looking for.
Conceptual Creating
We are making art not driveways. All the technique in the world doesn’t make for a good song. We will talk about how to look at the subject of your song and leverage all of your musical tools to transcend technique and offer our listeners an emotional experience.
Artist Coaching
We all want our art to reach someone. We may even want to get paid. Somehow putting together all of the elements involved in our work into a clear set of attainable goals seems so hard. We will do some assessments of you, your art, and your goals and get you on track with attainable goals while dealing with frustrating obstacles.

How do I get my music licensed? What is licensing anyway? How to I get a manager or a lawyer? How do I get a gig? I can offer general information on music business and practical insider advice from my experience.
